Recipe - Avocado mouse

This super easy avocado mouse is completely sugar free, except for the tiny bit of fruit in it. It's still super delicious, high in healthy fats and a great dessert or snack. If you do want to add on some sweetness, you could use a bit more banana or add some (preferably raw) honey.

The polyphenols of the berries get better absorbed by adding the fats of the avocado. They are superfoods on their own, improving cardio vascular health, full of antioxidants, reducing DNA damage which may help protect against cancer. Avocado has lots of healthy fats, like oleic acid which has been shown to have positive effects on genes believed to be linked to cancer. It also is full of fiber, reduces inflammation and just tastes amazing.

The cinnamon adds your sweetness, while stabilizing your blood sugar. The raw cacao is full of magnesium.. This bowl is just pure goodness! The great thing about this is if you're avoiding sugar, this will still give you a chocolate vibe with sweetness. The fats fill you up for longer and reduce cravings. Take your time to sit down and enjoy all the amazingness that you're giving to your body here!

Ingredients: 2 servings

  • 2 avocados (use 3 or 4 if they are small)

  • 1,5 tbsp (raw) cacao powder

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 frozen small banana

  • Toppings: a few coconut flakes, cacao nibs, bee pollen, nuts.. anything!


Mix all the ingredients in a foodprocessor (if you don't have one you could use a blender). Taste and add more cacao/cinnamon if needed. Put in a bowl, top with your favorite topping and enjoy!
